Our Story
Where Roots Meet Nature, and Dreams Find a Home

Every place has a story. Ours began long before Shyampura Nature Abode took shape - with a family, a piece of ancestral land, and a deep connection to rural Rajasthan. Just seven kilometres from Kuchaman, surrounded by open fields and the quiet rhythms of village life, lies the small hamlet of Shyampura.

The name itself is deeply personal. Shyampura is named in memory of Shyam, the founder’s late grandfather, whose values of simplicity, hard work and respect for the land continue to shape the spirit of the Abode. Pura means “place” - making Shyampura not simply a name on a map, but a place that carries forward a family legacy.

A Thought That Became a Dream

Years spent working in India’s tourism and hospitality industry took the founder across the country - from remote Himalayan settlements to small villages and countryside communities rarely seen on conventional itineraries.

Amid these journeys, one thought kept returning:

If rural India holds so many beautiful stories, why shouldn’t my own village become one of them?

That question became the beginning of Shyampura Nature Abode. Around a year before the COVID-19 pandemic, the idea was shared with the family. The founder’s parents believed in it from the beginning and offered their ancestral farmland - a gesture of trust that gave the dream both a place and a purpose.

Then the world came to a standstill. But here in Shyampura, something was quietly beginning.

We Started With the Land

Before there were rooms, pathways or a restaurant, there was the earth.

The early years were spent nurturing the land rather than building upon it. Saplings were planted, organic vegetables were cultivated, and thoughtful systems were introduced to conserve one of Rajasthan’s most precious resources - water.

Traditional kunds were created to collect monsoon rain. Rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge became integral to the property’s development. The idea was simple: if Shyampura was to grow, nature had to grow with it. Nature was never meant to be decorated around the property.

It was always meant to be part of its foundation.

From Ancestral Farmland to Nature Abode

In 2023, following approval from the Rajasthan Department of Tourism, the next chapter began. Construction started - but the vision remained deeply personal.

Today, Shyampura Nature Abode has six thoughtfully designed rooms, each named after members of the founder’s family - parents, uncles and aunts whose encouragement and support helped turn an idea into a living destination.

Even the restaurant carries a family story. It is named in honour of the founder’s grandmother, who lovingly prepared home-cooked meals for the workers throughout the construction of Shyampura. The same spirit of warmth, generosity and feeding people with care remains at the heart of our dining experience today.

Here, hospitality was not learned from a manual. It began at home.

Growing a Living Landscape

What began as open farmland has gradually grown into a flourishing green sanctuary. More than 2,300 trees have been planted across the estate, creating an evolving landscape that becomes richer with every season.

Native and locally suited varieties such as Neem, Arjun, Jamun, Shehtoot and Karonda grow alongside fruit-bearing Mango, Guava and Chikoo trees. Flowering plants add colour while creating welcoming spaces for birds, butterflies and other small inhabitants of the landscape.

Every tree represents patience. Every season brings something new. And every year, the land feels a little more alive.

Rooted in the Village

Perhaps one of the most meaningful parts of Shyampura’s journey has been watching the relationship between the property and the surrounding community grow.

What was once simply a piece of farmland is now a place recognised by villagers and neighbouring communities - a place that celebrates rural life, encourages responsible interaction with the environment, creates local opportunities and welcomes travellers into a side of Rajasthan that is often overlooked.

We do not want visitors simply to see rural Rajasthan. We want them to experience its pace, its people, its food, its landscapes and its warmth.

More Than a Place to Stay

Shyampura Nature Abode was never created to be just another resort.

  • It is a family dream rooted in ancestral soil.
  • A tribute to the generations that came before us.
  • A commitment to growing responsibly.
  • A celebration of Rajasthan’s villages and their way of life.

And an invitation to experience a different kind of luxury - one measured not by extravagance, but by space, silence, fresh food, open skies, genuine conversations and time well spent.

Come here to wake up with the birds. Walk through the fields. Taste what the land gives us. Meet the people who call this countryside home. Sit beneath a tree without watching the clock. And allow yourself, even for a little while, to slow down.

Welcome to Shyampura Nature Abode.
Where family roots run deep, nature grows freely, and every guest becomes part of the story.

Our Mission
Creating Meaningful Stays, Rooted in Rajasthan

Our mission is to offer travellers an authentic way to experience rural Rajasthan - one that brings together nature, local culture, thoughtful hospitality and responsible living.

We aim to create experiences that feel personal rather than packaged: mornings surrounded by nature, food connected to the farm, conversations with local people, and opportunities to understand the rhythms of village life.

At the same time, we remain committed to caring for the land that makes Shyampura possible. Through organic farming, water conservation, tree plantation, responsible resource use and local participation, we strive to ensure that tourism contributes positively to both the environment and the community around us.

For us, meaningful hospitality is simple: care for the guest, respect the land and remain connected to the community.

Our Vision
A Rural Rajasthan Worth Travelling For

Our vision is to make Shyampura a destination in its own right - a place travellers seek out not simply for accommodation, but for the experience of slowing down and discovering a more intimate side of Rajasthan.

We envision Shyampura Nature Abode as a thoughtful model of rural hospitality where comfort and simplicity coexist, traditions remain relevant, local communities participate in tourism, and nature is allowed to flourish.

As we grow, our ambition is not to lose what made Shyampura special in the first place. We want to grow with purpose - creating more reasons for travellers to stay longer, experience deeper and leave with a genuine connection to rural India.

To put Shyampura on the traveller’s map while keeping its roots firmly in the village.

The Village
Meet the Rajasthan Beyond the Postcards

Beyond forts, palaces and bustling cities lies another Rajasthan.

A Rajasthan of open fields, narrow village lanes, grazing animals, farmers beginning their day with the sunrise, traditional homes, familiar faces and conversations that unfold without hurry.

This is the Rajasthan that surrounds us.

Located approximately 7 kilometres from Kuchaman, Shyampura is a quiet rural hamlet where agriculture, community and everyday traditions continue to shape daily life.

Here, the village is not a theme created for visitors. It is real life happening around us.

A stay at Shyampura Nature Abode offers guests an opportunity to experience this world respectfully - from walking through the countryside and understanding local farming to meeting residents and discovering traditions that have been passed from one generation to another.

There is beauty in its simplicity: children heading to school, farmers working in the fields, seasonal crops changing the colours of the landscape and evenings becoming quieter as the sun disappears beyond the farmland.

We believe travel becomes more meaningful when visitors understand the place they are staying in. That is why the village is not simply our location. It is part of the Shyampura experience.

Our Team
The People Behind Shyampura

Shyampura Nature Abode may have begun with one dream, but it has been built and nurtured by many hands. Behind every stay is a team of people who know this land, understand its seasons and bring their own warmth to the experience.

From the people who care for our gardens and organic farm to those who prepare meals, maintain the property, welcome guests and introduce visitors to the surrounding countryside, every member of the Shyampura family contributes to what guests experience here. Many of these connections are deeply local. This matters to us.

We believe rural tourism should create opportunities within the communities it celebrates. Wherever possible, we encourage local participation, value regional knowledge and create an environment where traditional skills and contemporary hospitality can work together.

There is also a family behind the team—the same family whose ancestral land became Shyampura Nature Abode and whose support continues to shape its character.

You may arrive here as a guest. But our hope is that the people you meet, the conversations you share and the warmth you experience make Shyampura feel a little more personal by the time you leave.

Because genuine hospitality is ultimately not about a property. It is about people.
